June 30, 2019 — The teambuilding activity of UP Manila Central Administration employees was held on May 23-24, 2019 at the Chateau Royale Hotel Resort and Spa, Nasugbu, Batangas. There were 186 employees who attended the activity with 19 UP Manila officials.
This year’s theme was “UPLIFT” (denoting the acronym of the university, UP, and the words LIFT to mean Live, Interact, Facilitate, and Teamwork). The activity was held to encourage and enhance the skills of the employees to reach their highest potential, maintain life and work balance even with huge workloads, learn to effectively communicate within the organization and with clients, and perform tasks with ease through teamwork.
The activities included a community dance and educational games that aimed to promote a healthy battle of wits, strategy, and teamwork. The games were Drop the Blanket; Get Your Balls; and Human Tunnel that saw the Green Team led by Ms. Cielo Carbo of the UP Manila Creche and Development Center as the overall winner.
The evening socials were spearheaded by the Learning Resource Center, Office of Student Affairs and Creche. Several games such as Bingo Card, Relay, Picture Perfect, “Panahon Ko To,” and Gummy and Get Me were participated in by the employees from the different units. During dinner, Dr. Melfred Hernandez and Dr. Jacinto Mantaring serenaded the group together with the resident band.
