October 11, 2019 — The new officers of the University Student Council led by Chairperson Prince Albert Turtogo were sworn in by Chancellor Carmencita Padilla on October 9 in the presence of Office of Student Affairs Director Dr. Blesile Mantaring.
The other officers who were inducted into office were the college representatives as follows: Ron Dee Erasmo, College of Allied Medical Professions; Habagat Rene Farrales, College of Arts and Sciences; Querobin Acsibar, College of Dentistry; Allan Aeron Sandiego, College of Nursing; Jan Kniecel Mendoza, College of Pharmacy; Lavinnia Obaob, College of Public Health.
Also sworn in were the chairpersons of the Student Councils of the colleges: Sabrina Eliz Ching (CAMP), Harlon Matthew De Roca (CAS), Ma Chrizel Iana Madlangbayan (CD), Danne Coline Mangila (CM), Ruth Abby Castiva (CN), Raphael Angel Santiago (CPH), and Felicse Gotia (CP).
After the oath taking, Chancellor Padilla updated the student officers on the status of various infrastructure projects of UP Manila, including the forthcoming construction of the new UP Manila Library, the ongoing construction of the National Institutes of Health building, and the soon-to-be opened UP Manila Dormitory.
