Prof. Carmencita D. Padilla, 9th chancellor of UP Manila, was reappointed to a second term by the Board of Regents during its 1331st meeting held last 18 October 2017. She will serve from 1 November 2017 to 31 October 2020. Dr. Padilla is the third woman chancellor of the University and the fourth to enjoy a second term since 1983.
