The University of the Philippines (UP) Manila actively participated in the conduct of the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on Mar. 13, 2025.
The participants strictly followed the procedures necessary during the occurrence of an actual earthquake: duck, cover, and hold (DCH), organized evacuation to muster areas, and accounting of personnel.
The success of the NSED was made possible by the efficient, streamlined coordination between the emergency response teams (ERT) officers and focal persons and the participating employees.
The UP Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management for Health (DRRM-H) Program took the lead in coordinating the NSED.#
