The College of Nursing (CN) proudly hosted a nine-member delegation from the Jamaican Government, led by Errol Greene, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, on Dec. 6, 2024. The said visit aimed to highlight the BS Nursing curriculum, featuring Simulation-Based Education as a cutting-edge teaching-learning innovation.

Among the activities during the said visit was a fruitful roundtable discussion of esteemed representatives from the Health Human Resource Development Bureau (HHRDB) of the Department of Health (DOH), the Technical Panel of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Board of Nursing (BON) of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN), the Philippine Nursing Association (PNA), and the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions. Strategies were explored to elevate the nursing profession and showcase Philippine nursing excellence to the global community. The collaboration underscores the commitment of CN to advancing nursing education and fostering international partnerships.

Chancellor Michael Tee and CN Dean Sheila Bonito headed the UP Manila delegation, which welcomed the visitors.#
