As one of the leading contributors in terms of total purchases from PS-DBM, UP Manila has played a pivotal role in advancing the efficiency of government procurement processes. The Tugatog Award is bestowed upon agencies that have achieved the highest compliance in delivering quality supplies and services, in accordance with the mandate implemented by the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM).

Chancellor Tee acknowledged this achievement in the enhanced processes of the Procurement Management Office (PMO). He commended the dedication of the team led by Vice Chancellor Johanna Patricia A. Cañal in working towards the achievement of the ISO 9001:2015 certification, highlighting their adherence to government processes that reflect excellence. “Dahil sa mga proseso na ito na sinusunod natin ay kinikilala ang galing ng UP Manila kung paano tayo ay nakakasunod sa panuntunan ng gobyerno,” said Chancellor Tee.

Being recognized alongside other government agencies such as Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Department of Health, and the Quezon City Government, UP Manila is honored to inspire PS-DBM in enhancing its service delivery. UP Manila remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of procurement excellence and contributing to the overall efficiency of government operations.
