The UPM Chemistry Varsity Team won 1ST PLACE in the PAKSiklaban 2016, a national collegiate chemistry quiz bee held on 21 Feb. 2016, OZ Audio-Visual Room, Adamson University, Ermita, Manila. The event is a regular part of the annual National Chemistry Students’ Congress. The Congress is organized by the Philippine Association of Chemistry Students Inc. (PACS, Inc.).

The other winners of PACSiklaban 2016 were UP Los Baños (2nd Place) and Ateneo de Manila University (3rd Place).

–Philippine Association of Chemistry Students, Inc. (PACS, Inc.) is the student-based arm of a larger umbrella organization, the Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS). It is on its 52nd year. PACS and PFCS promote excellence by organizing stimulating, academic related-activities. The Congress usually holds a symposium and a poster presentation on the 1st day, and the PACSiklaban, a national collegiate chemistry quiz bee on the 2nd day.
