UP’s STOP COVID DEATHS Second Anniversary Special Webisode Honors COVID-19 Heroes

The STOP COVID DEATHS Webinar #96, on the occasion of its second year anniversary, honored 121 frontliners in a solemn memorial tribute for their selfless contributions in the fight against COVID-19.

“We dedicate this webinar to you, our frontliners, because overcoming that fear has been our key to success,” Dr. Susan Pineda Mercado, STOP COVID DEATHS host and adjunct faculty of the UP Manila-National Telehealth Center said as she introduced the video. She added, “In this journey, we have lost some of those who were brave or courageous and who, what should I say –  sacrificed their lives during this time for our patients.”

Dr. Pineda-Mercado also thanked Ardie Lopez who composed the theme song for the series. This song was played during the tribute memorial video.

He also thanked TVUP for preparing the very touching tribute for our Filipino medical frontliners who were recognized both nationally and internationally.
