“Responsibilities and Flow of Information Dissemination:

• The Office of the Chancellor will always come out with an advisory to either declare a suspension OR back-up a duly authorized government agency’s advisory on the suspension of classes/offices. The University will issue the advisories as early as possible since many of our constituents either wake up or leave their homes at 4:00 a.m.

• Three methods will be used to disseminate the advisories:

(1) Through the UPM website (www.upm.edu.ph) managed by the Information Management Service (IMS)

(2) Through the revived UPM-Smart Info Board Project. 
a. valid only for Smart, Sun, Talk & Text subscribers; 
b.  FREE and will not lessen the receiver’s mobile load, unless he/she replies; 
c. to enroll, send your Name, Mobile Number, Course or Office, Student/Employee Number to upm.smart@gmail.com. The person will receive a confirmation message.

(3) The Information, Publication, and Public Affairs Office (IPPAO) will disseminate the advisories through social media, TV, radio,
