January 31, 2023 — UP Manila returned to its annual face-to-face Christmas celebrations in December 2022 after two years of online activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UP Manila staff, faculty, and students highly invigorated the spirit of Christmas through their participation in all the activities that marked the celebration, such as the Adopt-A-Ward, simbang gabi, and the Lantern Parade.

Themed “Kita-kita, Sama-sama, Ang Saya ng Pasko sa UP Manila”, UP Manila Chancellor Carmencita Padilla kicked off the festive season with a thanksgiving mass held at the Philippine General Hospital Chapel and a lighting ceremony held at the PGH grounds last December 5, 2022. It was followed by a Christmas Jingle-Tik Tok-making Contest which ran from December 5 to 14 and a Façade Decoration Competition held on December 15. The lantern parade was held the next day, 3pm to 7pm.
Besting all the entries during the 2022 UP Manila Lantern Parade, the College of Pharmacy (CP) represented the university in UP Diliman’s inter-campus lantern parade dubbed “Parada ng mga Parol 2022” on December 21.
