The College of Nursing (CN) celebrates two recent victories netted by Assistant Professor Aprille Banayat as one of the awardees of the 2024 Asia-Pacific Journal of Oncology Nursing (APJON) Outstanding Reviewer, and by CN Head Librarian Marybel Caasi on her election as director of the 2025 Executive Board of the Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines (ASLP).

In a statement posted by CN, it hailed Banayat as having an “unwavering dedication and expertise in oncology nursing,” who continues to “inspire and elevate the profession.”

“Through her insightful reviews and contributions, [Banayat] upholds the highest standards of academic rigor, and fosters advancement in oncology care.” This is the second consecutive time Banayat has won the award, having first received the distinction in 2023.

Caasi was likewise lauded by CN, stating that they are “excited to see how your leadership will shape the future of ASLP.”

“Your dedication to professional growth, knowledge-sharing, and building meaningful connections inspires all of us. We look forward to your continued success and your positive impact on the library profession.” #
