Christian Badua, a bachelor of science in biology graduate of UP Manila, along with Nieles, was awarded the Best in Innovation research, for his study on how probiotics, especially lactic acid bacteria, can be used in treatment of colorectal cancer or colon cancer, one of the top causes of death in the Philippines.
Badua said it took him and his thesis mates almost a year to finish the product that started August last year.”
