The College of Dentistry once again emerged as one of the foremost institutions of dental education in the country in the November-December 2024 Dentist Licensure Examination. Out of 48 graduates promoted to licenses, a perfect passing rate allowed for six slots in the top ten.
Among the distinguished achievers was Lovely Pamela R. Rizare, who proudly took second rank with an outstanding score of 84.33%. Close behind her in third was Kisha Dana A. Cabuyadao with a score of 84.30%, with Derrick Dee V. Haluag placed fourth at the score of 84.14%. Jilliane A. Santos took the fifth position in this list, with scores of 84.10%, while at the same time Nianne Carla S. Hernandez and Sandra Rachelle O. Yao made it to the seventh and ninth positions respectively with scores of 83.83% and 83.50%.
These milestones are more than just numbers—they are years of hard work, determination, and the unwavering support of an institution that molds future leaders in oral healthcare. The College of Dentistry has always been a forerunner with its rigorous training and holistic approach that prepares the students to handle real-world issues in oral health.
Beyond academic excellence, these newly minted dentists carry with them the skills and values necessary to contribute meaningfully to the country’s oral health landscape. Their achievements inspire the UP community to continue its commitment to producing competent and compassionate professionals for the benefit of society.■
