The University of the Philippines Manila College of Allied Medical Professions (UP CAMP) opened its 63rd Foundation Anniversary and the 60th year of the CAMP Alumni Association through a flag ceremony held on Nov. 3, 2025, at the Sports Sccience and Wellness Center (SSWC) Multi-Sport Court.

In her message, Dean Esmerita R. Rotor, said that the flag-raising ceremony serves as a reminder of shared purpose and community. “The flag-raising ceremony reminds me that I am not alone in the work, and that all of us contribute to making our university—and our nation—better,” she said.
She shared updates on CAMP’s ongoing and future projects, including the CAMP Mentor Program, the Inclusive Learning Program, and new academic offerings.
“I think the most important and biggest accomplishment was to make ourselves grounded and strengthen our roots in our roles as faculty, staff, and students,” she said. She highlighted the CAMP MENTOR Program—Mentoring Excellence, Nurture, and Talent, Optimizing Relationships—which is now being evaluated for sustainability. “I think this helps the young faculty, and faculty getting new positions in the college, get their bearings in the university, find focus, and hopefully be inspired to keep on pursuing their careers in academia.”
She also commended Liza Florentino, Administrative Officer, for ensuring staff growth and development through workshops, seminars, and performance support. She also noted that student engagement has increased, as reflected in their active participation in various college activities and initiatives. The college also organized a leadership workshop to help student leaders become more effective.
“So, in grounding ourselves in our roles, we have a better chance of taking on challenging activities and projects this coming year. I believe there are three big ones,” she concluded.
Outstanding members of the CAMP community were also recognized during the ceremony. The Society of Occupational Therapy Majors received the Outstanding Student Organization of the Year award, while Ms. Jofel Macul and Ms. Alma Labro were honored as Outstanding Professional Staff for their exemplary service.
