National Training Center for Biosafety and Biosecurity Concludes Personnel Reliability Program and Dual-Use Training

The National Training Center for Biosafety and Biosecurity (NTCBB) of the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila conducted the Basics of Personnel Reliability Program and Dual-Use Research in Biomedical Facilities on Mar. 7, 2025, at UP Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The training, held in partnership with ESCO Lifesciences, aimed to strengthen biosafety and biosecurity practices in research institutions.

A total of 27 participants from public and private institutions attended the session, gaining insights into insider threats, personnel screening, training, and performance evaluations. The training also covered security assessments, biosafety protocols, regulatory frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies to enhance responsible research practices in biomedical facilities.#
