Chancellor Michael Tee welcomed delegates from Gunma University who paid him a courtesy call on Mar. 11, 2025, during their two-week International Study Program (ISP) in partnership with the College of Nursing (CN).
The ISP, scheduled from Mar. 10 to 21, 2025, is designed to provide students with practical training and cultural exchange experiences, focusing on pediatric communicable and non-communicable diseases in Metro Manila. Participants will engage in community duties at the Icasiano Health Center, focusing on maternal and child nursing and care of beginning families. They will also observe hospital operations at the Cancer Institute of the Philippine General Hospital.
The visiting delegates include ISP students Koharu Tanak, Koharu Takeuchi, and Mei Nakamura from Gunma University’s Department of Nursing. They are accompanied by faculty member Dr. Takatoshi Makino.
Through this program, the CN-Gunma University partnership aims to equip nursing students with the skills to adapt their practices across different healthcare systems and cultural contexts, fostering professionalism, ethical behavior, and global collaboration.#
