UPMASA and Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Bring Vital Medical Care to Eastern Samar

The University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Society in America (UPMASA), Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Manila Borongan Joint Medical, Dental and Surgical Mission, and the local health authorities provided essential health services to the underserved communities of the Eastern Samar region with the “Health Mission Program” from Feb 16-21, 2025, at Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital.

University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Society in America (UPMASA-Medical, Dental and Surgical Team), Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Manila (Medical, Dental and Surgical Team), Eastern Visayas Medical Center (Optha Team), Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital (ESPH-staff members, nursing students and volunteers), Provincial Health Office (staff members), Davao Dental Team and the Cebu Ophthalmological Team.

Beneficiaries:

2,656 indigent patients from Borongan Eastern Samar and its surrounding municipalities.
