The UP Student Dormitory marks a significant step in enhancing security with the official turnover of newly installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras on Feb. 13, 2025.
The CCTVs are important measures of protection for the eight-storey dormitory. They monitor common areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. They ensure safety as they provide real-time surveillance to respond quickly to emergencies or unsafe situations, and they record footage to review any incidents or disputes among its residents.#
