UP Manila Professor Engr. Romeo R. Quizon was awarded the 2023 Eric C. Nubla Excellence Award, the highest recognition bestowed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) upon a professional, at the Manila Hotel last December 10, 2023.Â
The first sanitary engineer to receive this award, Prof. Quizon bested four other nominated outstanding professionals and secured the highest rating during the deliberations and is a testament to his commitment in ensuring a clean and sustainable environment.
Prof. Quizon has etched his name in history as the first Sanitary Engineer and the first Engineer to serve as Dean of the College of Public Health from 2013 to 2019. With a career spanning three decades, he continues to serve as a full professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and as a former President of the Philippine Society of Sanitary Engineers, Inc. #
