Led by the DRRM-H Program Director Carlos Gundran, the simulation exercise allowed students to practice different skills in a controlled environment. By simulating real-life emergency scenarios with collaboration and communication, the exercise emphasized the importance of quick decision-making and teamwork in disaster response.
Students demonstrated proactiveness, critical thinking, and adaptability, which are key qualities of effective emergency responders. Their performance highlighted the significance of disaster preparedness in protecting communities and saving lives.
The DRRM-H aims to equip future professionals with the skills and mindset needed for resilient and coordinated disaster response.
