In line with our commitment to safety and preparedness, we will be participating in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on 06 November 2025 at 9:00 AM.
This drill is an important exercise to ensure we are all equipped to respond effectively in the event of a real earthquake. Please take note of the following key procedures that will be observed during the drill:
Initial Response (First 15 Seconds of Ground Shaking): Open the door. Duck, Cover, and Hold (DCH).
Evacuation: Proceed promptly and calmly to your designated Muster Areas.
Headcount: Evacuation Teams will conduct headcounts for each building, college, or cluster.
Damage Assessment: Designated teams will assess the condition of each building, college, or cluster.
Report Encoding: Reports will be recorded via iTala form for analysis by team leaders and commanders.
Communication Drill: Emergency Response Teamsโincluding Building Marshalls, College Incident Commanders, Cluster Commanders, Deputy Incident Commanders, and Incident Commandersโwill provide updates on headcount and damage assessments.
Stand-Down Orders: The Deputy IC or Incident Commander will issue stand-down orders to Cluster and College Commanders. These will be given once all updates are submitted, and there are no missing persons, injured individuals needing assistance, or structural damage that renders a building unsafe.
Return to Posts: Once the drill concludes, everyone will return to their respective posts.
For your reference, please see the attached infographic that visually outlines these steps.
Your full participation and cooperation are essential in making this drill effective.
