The UP Manila Technology Transfer & Business Development Office (UPM TTBDO) is committed to securing and translating ideas and research outputs into products and services that are responsive to the health needs of the Filipinos.

In line with this, UPM TTBDO will hold a quiz bee on Intellectual Property (IP), scheduled on October 20, 2025 at UP Manila, in celebration of the office’s 10th anniversary.

In preparation for the event, a series of webinars on the Fundamentals of the Intellectual Property System (FIPS) will be conducted via Zoom from August to October 2025.

These webinars will include mini quiz bees, and participation in four lectures (Overview of IP, Patent, Copyright, and Trademark). This is mandatory to be able to participate in the IP Quiz Bee on October 20, 2025.

Advantage points will be awarded to the winners of the FIPS quiz bee and will be added to their scores in the main quiz bee on October 20, 2025.

Teams may consist of 2 to 5 members.

Exciting prizes will be awarded to the winning teams of the Quiz Bee.

To ensure that the programs proposed are reflective of the mission and vision of the office, we will conduct a pre-registration survey. This survey will be used as a guide for us to have an idea of what to expect and to make the necessary preparations.
