The National Institutes of Health (NIH) at the University of the Philippines Manila commemorates its 26th anniversary with a year-long series of roundtable discussions.
This year’s theme is “Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in Population Health Research: Ensuring Better Health Research Practices, Interventions, Policies, and Outcomes for All.” The celebrations will highlight the research contributions of NIH’s Directors and Faculty to Population Health Research.
The last event for the anniversary, “Scientists on Scientists,” will feature two roundtable discussions with NIH’s Directors and Research Faculty, focusing on two key JEDI principles:
DIVERSITY: “Unity in Diversity: Mapping Health Inequalities through Inclusive Population Health Research”
INCLUSION: “Cultivating Inclusion: Influencing the Outlook of Population Health Research.”
The anniversary aims to raise awareness about the importance of population health research and help the public understand how research work at NIH can benefit the lives of Filipinos.
The Organizing Committee invites you to their last anniversary event on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The event will be held on the 7th Floor of the Henry Sy, Sr. Plenary Hall Building at the UP College of Medicine.
