GOOD NEWS from the COLLEGE OF NURSING! (Congratulations!!!)
“The University of the Philippines College of Nursing (UPCN) has been re-designated as WHO Collaborating Center (WHO CC) for Leadership in Nursing Development for a period of four years from 9 April 2016 to 9 April 2020. As a WHO CC, UPCN will assist WHO in performing its functions along the lines of integrated multi-profession education and people-oriented services focusing on health promotion and NCD prevention. It will also provide support to Cambodia in strengthening its Cambodia Nurse Bridging Program (CNBP). The director of the WHO CC is Dean Lourdes Marie S. Tejero.
UPCN has a long history of collaboration with WHO starting as a WHO CC for Nursing Development in Primary Health Care from 1989 to 2001, and WHO CC for Leadership in Nursing Development from 2004 to present.”
