In this time and age of unstable geopolitical relations, we are seeing an increase in military escalations by imperialist powers in the Asia-Pacific. The U.S. is fortifying its existing military presence in the First Island Chain in an attempt to constrain the movements of China and prepare for potential direct conflict.
So, join the UP Manila Political Science Program and Political Science 182 WEG (International Politics) class in Navigating Tensions: Rise of Militarization in the Asia-Pacific, a forum examining and generating critical dialogue on the geopolitical unease brewing across East and Southeast Asia, with Prof. Sarah Raymundo of the UP Center for International Studies, and Noel Colina of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle.
