The University of the Philippines Office of International Linkages is a unit under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. It is mandated to identify and explore areas of cooperation and linkages with foreign and local institutions. It promotes academic collaboration with local and foreign universities in the form of student and faculty and student exchange, joint research, exchange of publication, sponsorship of conference and other academic activities. The office is engaged in the initiation, planning, implementation and monitoring of linkage activities with the other autonomous campuses through the Office of the Vice chancellor for Academic Affairs.
The Office of International Linkages will provide support and services to the University of the Philippines Manila community by serving as a liaison between UP Manila and the world. We facilitate international educational experiences that provide opportunities for international study, research, or practical experiences outside of the Philippines. These enriching undertakings foster critical thought, intellectual and social growth, knowledge and experiences for professional success, and responsible global citizenship all for the benefit of the Filipino people.
The Office of International Linkages helps create, position and become a viable link of UP Manila to the world that will improve the quality and competitiveness of the University both nationally and internationally.
