October 31, 2019 — The UP College of Medicine was proclaimed champion among 18 other medical schools from Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia in the Respiquizz 2019 held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The competition was held during the 21st International Meeting on Respiratory Care Indonesia with the theme “Facing the Uncertainty, Focus on Respiratory Care Disaster.” The CM team was composed of Frinz Rubio (LU 7), Bradley Ong (LU 6), and Justin (Jaz) Togonon (LU 5).
Another group of UPCM students, composed of Allan John Barcena, Linnaeus Louisse Cruz, and Frinz Moey Rubio won at the Chiang Mai University International Medical Challenge held in Thailand. This year’s competition theme was “Basic to Clinical Physiology.” The international competition held annually by Chiang Mai University Faculty of Medicine, Thailand, is participated in by medical students from different countries.
