The University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila) welcomed delegates from the Japanese Red Cross Hiroshima College of Nursing (JRCHCN) for a courtesy meeting with Chancellor Michael Tee on Feb. 23, 2026, at the Chancellor’s Office.

Led by Professor Yosuke Takada and accompanied by student Sakura Ohara, the JRCHCN delegation paid a courtesy call as part of their ongoing academic partnership with UP Manila. The meeting also included the Coordinator of the UP College of Nursing Office of International and Local Linkages, Asst. Prof. Laurence Lloyd B. Parial.

Discussions centered on the delegates’ recently concluded community immersion activities in Maragondon and Ternate, Cavite, held from February 16 to 20, as well as their upcoming service and intercultural learning activities with the UP College of Nursing.

JRCHCN has been an international partner of UP Manila since 2018, with collaborative initiatives focused on community engagement, service learning, and intercultural exchange.
