The University of the Philippines Manila College of Pharmacy (CP) was granted the Level IV Accredited Status by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) valid from Sept.3, 2025 to Aug. 2028.

Dean Mac Ardy Gloria said the accreditation is a “milestone” and a “product of everyone’s collective sacrifices, hard work, dedication, and teamwork.” He also expressed his gratitude to the accrediting body for recognizing the quality of UP Manila’s BS Pharmacy and BS Pharmaceutical Sciences programs.

Dean Gloria also acknowledged the unwavering support of past and present college and university administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners in making this recognition possible. “Together, we celebrate this achievement and will continue to strive for honor and excellence in pharmacy education and service to the nation.” he said.

Level IV accreditation is the highest distinction granted by PAASCU on academic programs that have demonstrated excellence in instruction, research, and community service, as well as international linkages and outstanding faculty performance. Programs with Level IV Accredited Status are recognized as highly respected, very high-quality academic programs in the Philippines, with prestige and authority comparable to similar programs in excellent foreign universities.

This recognition supports the College’s dedication to providing quality pharmaceutical education that meets global standards.
