
The University of the Philippines Manila received its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO 9001:2015 recertification from TÜV NORD on Dec. 12, 2025, further strengthening its position as a leading institution delivering world-class education.
TÜV NORD Philippines Inc., one of the world’s largest Inspection, Certification & Testing organizations, validated UP Manila’s quality management for its educational and research services in accordance with the requirements of ISO standard for the provision of higher and advanced education, research, and extension services.
A two-day audit conducted by TÜV NORD Philippines on Nov. 12–13, 2025, evaluated the university’s Quality Management System (QMS) across academic and administrative offices to ensure compliance with international standards for quality service, operational efficiency, and continual improvement.
“As a certifying body, we can attest to the level of quality that UP Manila has in terms of quality management,” Raphael Galapin, TÜV NORD Philippines Sales and Marketing Associate said.
UP Manila first earned its ISO 9001:2015 certification for its university-wide Quality Management System in December 2022. The validity date of the latest recertification stretches until November 2028.
TÜV NORD Philippines, Inc. is a technical service provider operating across 70 countries with its headquarters in Hanover, Germany. It has qualified auditors that ensure high quality standards for certification as well as training services in mobility, systems, energy, and systems engineering.
