Professor Andrew Davey, Director for International Health at Griffith University in Australia, paid a courtesy visit to Chancellor Michael L. Tee and officials of the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions (NTTCHP) on April 16, 2024.

The visit marked the beginning of discussions to establish a potential partnership between UP Manila and Griffith University. During the visit, representatives from both institutions explored potential areas of collaboration, shared goals, interests, and strategic objectives.

Prof. Davey delivered a presentation highlighting Griffith University and its home state of South East Queensland. Chancellor Tee expressed enthusiasm about reciprocating the visit to Griffith University in May and learn from best practices and showcase UP Manila’s exceptional achievements through its alumni.

Chancellor Tee was accompanied by NTTCHP Dean Melflor A. Atienza, along with Assoc. Prof. Emely D. Dicolen and Asst. Prof. Monica H. Walet. Also present was Dr. Vivien Fe F. Fadrilan-Camacho, Director of the UPM Office of International and Local Linkages, whose office facilitated the visit.
