University of the Philippines Manila officials, members of its academic community, and representatives from the British Council convened on May 16, 2024, to discuss updates and valuable insights on their collaborative efforts in Transnational Education (TNE).

The collaboration, under the Access and Competitiveness through Internationalisation of Higher Education (ACT-IHE) project of the British Council and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), aims to build capacity towards developing postgraduate TNE programs for Filipinos. Specifically, the project will develop two postgraduate degrees:  Master of Science in Disability Studies and Rehabilitation Sciences with a post-graduate certificate from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, and Master of Science in Nursing with a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Practice Nursing from Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland.

The partnership underscores UP Manila’s commitment to cultivating adaptable and globally competitive health sciences professionals, positioned for leadership roles within their sectors.
