The Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders, Inc. (PSOD) invites the entire community to join the nationwide observance of the 17th National Rare Disease Week (NRDW) from February 22–28, 2026.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 1989, NRDW is held annually during the last week of February to raise public awareness and secure support for this diverse yet resilient community.

The 2026 Theme: More Than You Can Imagine

Globally, over 300 million people live with one of the 6,000 known rare conditions. This year, we aim to uplift the community by sharing their stories and demonstrating that while these conditions are rare, the strength and potential of those living with them are limitless.

How to Participate

We invite you to show solidarity through two key initiatives:

• NRDW Social Media Campaign: Help amplify the voices of the rare disease community by sharing digital materials and awareness stories.
• “Light Up for Rare” Campaign: Join a global chain of lights by illuminating your building or a landmark in the colors of Rare Disease Day on February 28, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
