2016 PCARI Scholarships Project: Degree and Non-Degree Programs — NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

The Philippine-California Advanced Research Institutes (PCARI) Project has opened its scholarship program and invites applicants from the priority areas of health innovation and translational medicine and information and infrastructure development to join its growing pool of research scholars.
The scholarship project covers degree and non-degree courses exclusive of training below six (6) months duration in the priority fields mentioned above. All Filipino citizens who meet the qualifications below are eligible to apply:
-not more than 45 years old
-degree in relevant disciplines
-research proposal aligned with PCARI priority areas

Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program
Application deadline: 1 February 2016
About:
–20 slots available to both international and domestic students to undertake hands-on laboratory experience.
–Financial support will be provided to participating students such as return airfare, accommodation, and scholarship during the program period of July 1 to August 26, 2016.
–During the eight weeks, students will gain research knowledge, and opportunity to network with other students and professionals, and gain invaluable insight to life as a graduate student. In addition to research experience, students also participate in a two-day symposium and various workshops and other educational and cultural based activities.
–Target participants are undergraduate students in natural science who are sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior standing.

2016 University of British Columbia – Vancouver Summer Program (VSP)

About: A four-week academic program offered at the University of British Columbia to provide the opportunity for cooperating universities to organize groups of students to take two academic courses in various UBC Faculties, while enjoying first-hand experiences in Canadian practices and culture, as well as meeting fellow students from around the globe.
Program duration: 4 June 2016 – 5 July 2016
Offerings: 19 packages in the areas of Applied Science, Arts, Business, Education, Forestry, Kinesiology, Medicine, and Science… The package program fee of $4,500 CAD includes tuition, accommodation, course materials, workshops, medical insurance, and airport transfers for group arrivals. The program also includes a city tour, and welcome and farewell luncheons.

Universitas Airlangga: 2016 International Programs
Offering 1: Airlangga Summer Program (ASP) is open for undergraduate international students who are interested Indonesian traditional medicine or herbal medicine and Indonesian Language and Cultures.

Offering 2: Community Empowerment at Universitas Airlangga (CERIA) – 2nd Sem
— community volunteering program from international students at a rural area in East Java Region. Designed to empower the society. It is intended for undergraduate international students to learn and work hand-in-hand with the local students to empower disadvantaged societies.

–Open for minimum of 40 international students
–Program Fee: USD 300/person
