This October, the UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas (UPM-MHI) celebrates its 12th anniversary with IDEAS IN MOTION: Filipino Identity From UP’s Foundational Years—a month-long program exploring how Filipino identity has been shaped, remembered, and continually developed from UP’s foundational years to the present.
From October 15–30, 2026, step into permanent and temporary exhibitions and public programs that bring together anthropology, archaeology, indigenous knowledge, forensic science, architecture, and cultural heritage.
Held in observance of National Indigenous Peoples Month and Museums and Galleries Month, IDEAS IN MOTION brings together memory, scholarship, community knowledge, and contemporary perspectives—inviting us to look more closely at the many ways Filipino identity has been understood and continues to evolve.
Mark your calendars and join us as we move through the ideas that continue to shape what it means to be Filipino.
