The UPM CAS Manila Studies Program, in line with its mission to promote Manila Studies, will host a conference in commemoration of the golden anniversary of the National Capital Region (1975-2025). We are opening a call for presentations for those who would like to present their paper at the upcoming conference.

Guided by the theme “Narratives, Connections, Relevance”, the event highlights five decades of growth, resilience, and transformation in the National Capital Region. It brings together scholars, policymakers, and community leaders to reflect on Metro Manila’s past, strengthen present ties, and chart future directions for a more inclusive and sustainable capital.
