EVENT | Advanced Course in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing in the Inpatient Setting

The UP College of Nursing (UPCN) and UP-PGH Nursing Service Division of Nursing Education and Training (DNET) are conducting an Advanced Course in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing in the Inpatient Setting on May 22 to June 30, 2023.

This two-phase, module-based course is designed to equip registered nurses with post-basic competencies in providing evidence-based, safe, and quality nursing care for patients with mental health and psychiatric problems in the acute inpatient setting.

This 45.00 CPD credit course (NRS-2010-046-3892) will be delivered through 5 weeks of asynchronous module-guided sessions and 1 week of in-person workshops to be held in the UPCN Skills and Simulation Laboratory.

The registration fee for the complete course has been reduced to Php 6,500.00 which includes the use of the online learning platform, resource materials, and teaching-learning activities. However, this does not cover meals and accommodation for the one-week in-person workshop.

We recognize that in-patient psychiatric and mental settings are still limited across the regions and hospitals. Hence, we would like to extend the invitation to the institutions in support of building the capacity of our nurses. This is also open to faculty teaching mental health and psychiatric nursing.
