"HIV and COVID-19: The Philippine Experience" [Webinars and Reports]

 

From May-August 2021, the University of the Philippines Manila and Brown University conducted a five-part HIV&COVID-19 Webinar Series, entitled, "HIV and COVID-19: The Philippine Experience".  The series was made possible  through help of the NIH-Fogarty Training Program for the Prevention of HIV in Vulnerable Populations (D43-TW010565)Providence/Boston Center for AID Research (P30AI042853), and the Philippine Health Initiative for Research, Service, and Training (PHIRST)

The goal of the webinar series was to discuss emergent challenges and highlight the innovations carried out by various sectors to ensure the continuous implementation of HIV prevention and treatment programs in the Philippines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar series ended with a call for a multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral response in reversing the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on HIV efforts in the Philippines.

Webinar 1: COVID-19 & the HIV Cascade of Care: Emergent Challenges, Innovative Response
