"Senate OKs bill creating Philippine Cancer Center" (Rappler)

 

The National Integrated Cancer Control Act (Senate Bill 1850) was approved by the Senate on third and final reading on 12 Nov. 2018. Aside from addressing gaps in cancer care and integrate policies for its prevention, detection, correct diagnosis, treatment, and management, it "mandates the establishment of the Philippine Cancer Center, under the control and supervision of the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital. Regional cancer centers shall also be established nationwide."
