PASINAYA 2018 at the UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas
A wide variety of exciting activities await the public in the 14th PASINAYA OPEN HOUSE FESTIVAL 2017: PALABAS AT PALIHAN, the largest annual multi-arts festival in the country with more than 300 shows in music, theater, dance, visual arts, film, and literature to choose from and more than 50,000 viewers. Taking as its theme “Pusuan ang Sining”, the festival is slated on 3-4 February 2018 and will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and various museums and galleries in the city. It will feature excerpts from the works of over a hundred arts groups and thousands of artists from around the country.
PASINAYA 2018 continues its two-part program, dubbed as Palihan at Palabas. In Palihan (Feb. 3), the guests can “workshop-all-they-can-and-pay-what-they-can” from 8:45a.m. to 4:45p.m. in different CCP venues. The suggested donation price is Php50.00
For Palabas (Feb. 4), the audiences can watch films and immerse themselves in various exhibits and performances by approximately 300 guests performers and artists. All performances will be held in every possible venue at the CCP Complex and its partner museums and galleries around the city. Thirty (30) hop-on-hop-off vans, hired by the Museum Foundation of the Philippines (MFPI), will transport the audiences to the said venues.
The partner museums and galleries this year include 1335 Mabini, Avellana Art Gallery, Bahay Tsinoy, Casa Manila, Cinematheque Manila (Film Development Council of the Philippines), Galleria Duemila, HUB Make Lab-98B Collaboratory, Metropolitan Museum of Manila, Museo Marino, Museo Pambata, Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, National Museum (National Museum of Fine Arts and National Museum of Anthropology), NCCA Gallery, and the UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas.
