November 19, 2019 — Garbed in white coats and with the theme “Evolving Role of Pharmacists: Medication Therapy Managers, Patient Safety Advocates,” 26 BS Pharmacy students and 10 BS Industrial Pharmacy students were inducted as future pharmacy professionals by Ms. Krishelle Anne M. Obispo, President of Young Pharmacists Groups Philippines and a UP College of Pharmacy alumna, during the White Coat Ceremony of the UP College of Pharmacy on Nov. 19.
The ceremony served as an opportunity for professional socialization and a means of inculcating in future practitioners the values of humanism and professionalism. The white coat serves as a symbol of clinical service, care, and professionalism. The theme reflects the expanding rolesof pharmacists in the changing health landscape.
