August 30, 2019 — Two faculty from the Department of Physical Education (DPE) of the College of Arts & Sciences represented the Philippines in the 5th Asian Veteran Fencing Championships last 18-19 August 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan. Each won several awards. Asst. Prof. Lenita Otadoy won the Gold Medal in the Women’s Foil Team Division, Gold Medal in the Women’s Saber Team, and Bronze Medal in the Saber Individual category. Asst. Prof. Aurea D. Dioquino on the other hand, won the Gold Medal in the Women’s Saber Team and Silver Medal in the Women’s Epee Team.
