The MS Health Informatics focuses on the structuring of biomedical data and knowledge to support data analysis and decision making in health care through the application of informatics concepts, skills and principles for the efficient solution of biomedical problems. It has two tracks: bioinformatics (handled by the Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics, College of Arts and Sciences) and medical informatics (handled by Medical Informatics Unit, College of Medicine).
