The UP College of Medicine Class of 1971 presents its contribution to the modernization program of the F.B. Herrera Jr. Medical Library.
As part of the project, the first floor of the library was renovated to accomodate the deployment of the new facilities. Included in the project outcomes are the required hardware, software and peopleware necessary to service the facility.
The server and databases will be accessed through client computer units deployed on a Local Area Network (LAN) employing Thin Ethernet (10Base-T) using TCP/IP protocol.
The entire EMERALDS LAN is also to be connected to the UPM Campus Wide Area Network (UPMNet) via the University Library. This in turn provides potential connectivity with the proposed LAN of the UP College of Medicine.
