UPM-TDR-WHO: Call for Philippine Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) Solutions

"The Department of Clinical Epidemiology of the University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine has partnered with the Special Programme on Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) at the World Health Organization (WHO) to work on a very exciting project: The Social Innovation in Health Initiative.

This initiative (http://socialinnovationinhealth.org), with its many global partners, aims to foster a research-driven agenda on social innovation in health care delivery in the global south. We believe that new knowledge can be generated on high impact social innovations addressing infectious diseases of poverty including tuberculosis, HIV, and AIDS as well as patient safety. We also believe that capacity can be developed to support frontline innovators and organizations.

To guide us in finding such solutions in the Philippines, we launched an open call yesterday, June 5, 2017. This call is being circulated across the country and will close on July 16, 2017."
