The College of Nursing (CN) was established in 1948. Its whole program of relevant education, research and continuing education, and community extension services are geared towards strengthening the capabilities of its individual members and of society as a whole.

Its extension services include community-based programs in Laguna; several Wellness Clinics (Hearty Heart, Diabetes & Asthma Education, Older Persons, and Health Promotion through nutritional counseling, relaxation techniques, and aromatherapy); and for its teleconferencing project, 4 satellite DE centers (two in Davao, Samar, Cagayan de Oro). Approximately 4,000 nurses have participated in the project which tackles updates and developments in the nursing profession.

CN is a WHO Collaborating Center for Leadership in Nursing Development in the Asia-Pacific region. It has also been designated by CHED as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education.
